IPOD EXCHANGE FOR A NEW ONE

ok my friends have told me that if u have a 2/3rd generation ipod with a cracked screen you can bring it into apple and for 50 dollars you can get the brand new ipod touch. Is this true or not? Also does you're ipod have to be under warranty to do this?

I never heard of that. I have heard that they will give you a 10% discount for recycling your old one.

This is not true.

They have recycle program as provided - 10% discount on a new ipod for bringing in an an old ipod.
