Best method to use iPhone as USB Mass Storage -- transfer files with Finder

This is not a feature of iphone.

It is not a storage device. Sorry.

You can use iTunes to transfer files. You need an app that can open the files first. Something like Documents to Go or Quickoffice.

You cant transfer any file you want, like MS Excel or MS Word or even *.txt file you also cannot transfer ! You just can transfer music and video files, that's all ! That drives me crazy !

You should spend longer exploring the available apps before doubting your sanity.

I use Files for wireless transfer of excel, pdf, doc, and other files. Works flawlessly.

Files works thru wireless without iTunes, or usb within iTunes.

Well, iTunes can do you a favor. Or you can transfer your files to computer by using other tools.
