Share Button Not Showing up in Album View

I've been trying to figure out how to send multiple photos via e-mail or mms on my iPhone 4 when I realized there is NO share button appearing anywhere on the screen when I open the Photo app.

Does anyone know how to make this show up?

Edit: Just to clarify, when I click the lower left corner export button, it only allows me to select photos for deletion. The other two bottom row options do not highlight.

What I want to know specifically is why the arrow in the top right corner, like I've seen on other iPhone 4s Photo app, does not appear at all for me.

At the upper right hand corner of the screen in "Albums" view, there is a box with an arrow. Touch it and the screen changes where you can select which photos from the album to send.

Thank you, but I've said that button you refer to does not appear at all on my screen.

What I want to know is how I can fix that and make it show up.

Have you done any of the basic troubleshooting steps described in the [User Guide|http://manuals.info.apple.com/en US/iPhone_iOS4_UserGuide.pdf] - Restart, Reset, Restore?

It would help if you stated your iOS version and iPhone model.

I restart it regularly but have not tried restoring or resetting yet, thank you. I fear losing my information so have not even thought about either of those two options.

Edit: I mentioned in my initial post that I have an iPhone 4. Beyond that, I don't know what other details to provide, but it was purchased at the end of July. It's running the software update before 4.1 so it's not quite 4.0. I haven't updated yet to 4.1 and am wondering if this might fix the problem.

Resetting the phone (pressing both home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears), and Restoring in iTunes using a backup will not lose any data. Resorting as a new iPhone will lose data and settings which can be minimized by syncing contacts, calendars, and notes with appropriate apps on your computer (or MobileMe, Yahoo, Gmail). See:

I haven't updated yet to 4.1 and am wondering if this might fix the problem.

This isn't listed as a fix in 4.1, and I never noticed this problem in earlier version. Nevertheless, 4.1 has significant updates and fixes and I recommend it. If you Restore, the update is automatic.

In that case, I also have reset it before, at least once every couple of weeks when it freezes.

Are you looking at a specific album when you try to share multiple photos?

If you're looking at the top-level Album view (which shows all albums on your phone), the arrow in the upper right won't be there.

Lyssa, I am not looking at specific albums because I don't know how to create new ones! So absolutely, it's in the top-level Album view.

I think you're right. Would you be so kind as to tell me how to create a new album...?

New albums can't be created within the phone. You have ro create it in the photo app on your computer that you sync your photos to.

Even if you have only one "album" - Camera Roll - you still can select it and see the thumbnail photos with the share icon at the top of the group and select multiple pics to email or MMS.
