iCal sync with Mobile Me Beta

MobileMe Calendar Beta is a server based calendar. That means you have to have the MobileMe calendar added to iCal in the accounts window to see your calendars.

_Go to iCal > Preferences > Accounts
_Click the plus sign
_Change Account type to "MobileMe"
_Fill in your full MobileMe email address and then your MobileMe password and click create.
_This should populate all the calendars from me.com into iCal.

I am having the same issue. My iPad iCal was syncing until I installed the Beta. Still can't get it to sync.

thanks...I couldn't quite get there as preferences>accounts>+ only gives me the option to add a CalDAV account. No Mobile me option. I have iCal 3.0.8 and OS X 10.5.8 (not quite gotten to 10.6 yet)...could that have something to do with it? Thanks for your help

Ah thank you for the clarification. I assumed you were running 10.6 when you said you were using the Calendar Beta, my apologies. 10.5 is not supported with the Beta: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4037

just updated ical beta and it worked with ical version 3.0.8. Before It synced I backup my ical to be safe. Well sure enough it deleted every cal event past 45 days or so so i restored. Now i cant get it back to sync with mobile me beta. Any thoughts? and how do i add Mobile as a CalDAV I know that will work.

I have 10.6 and I added my .me account to my ical preferences. Now I have 2 of my calendars and it still doesn't sync what I add new to my ical calendar to my mobile me calendar, which in turn does not update my iphone. What do iI do to fix this.

Got almost the same issue. I'm on 10.6.4, installed MobileMe Calendar Beta, and at the same time, upgraded my Hardware to an iPhone 4. Before, all my calendars would sync, now only my private one, my kids' one, and Birthdays sync.

Sync config: have a MobileMe account and a Google calendar account. Both sync into iCal. All calendars and their respective entries show up in iCal, but my girlfriend's one (from MobileMe) and my company calendar (from Google calendars) don't get synced anymore and won't show up on my iPhone.

I called Apple support. They had me add my mobile me account to my calendar CAldav in iCal. Then I had to delete my gmail account calendars. Now everything syncs. I have snow leopard so that wasn't the issue.

To sync new MobileMe with iCal 3.0.8 (10.5.8) do this:
in iCal->Settings->Accounts add new Account set your mobile me acount name and password and under server settings put
https://cal.me.com it will be automaticaly changed to

https://cal.me.com/principals/users/YOURACCOUNT@me.com/

its all 🙂, then delete your old callendars, and switch off sync in MobileMe control panel
