Q: Wasted two weeks on this program???
Okay I'm about to call it quits on this Final Cut Server disaster. Am I doing something wrong?
1) Dropped my FCP Project file into a FCSvr production.
2) Let FCSvr create all of my clip proxies, edit proxies etc. (I'm editing a feature so it took 2 days and ended up with 400GB editproxies.bundle)
3) Made sure my cache had plenty of room (500GB)
4) Create a checkout folder called CHECKOUT which exist on a RAID with 20TB of storage.
5) Clicked checkout on my FCP Project asset and selected "keep media with project" and "edit proxies"
6) Waited...and waited...and waited... and 6 hours later I go back to check and the little wheel-thingy is spinning and spinning and spinning.
7) Went to me CHECKOUT folder thinking I might see some media being copied there....nothing.
8) Okay I say to myself maybe it's caching before copying...check the cache folder...nothing.... Look under preference and is say 0kb stored in cache..
Is there something I'm missing?
