Does the power adaptor draw power nonstop if plugged into the wall?

Do the power adaptors draw power nonstop when they are plugged into the wall, but not the computer?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

They will not draw power if they are not powering a computer.

Some power is always drawn. Even an used power adapter that is plugged in wii consume some power. To verify, you'll notice that the power adapter is warm. The internal resistance of the power adapter will draw 200mW or so; a fairly insignificant amount.

Exactly. Well almost "*unused *will".
