Password Required for Firmware Upgrade

i suspect you have posted this in the wrong forum for 2 reasons.

1) there is no 7.3.2 or 7.4.2 firmware for appletv
2) you don't need a password to update appletv firmware.

it sounds like you are trying to update the firmware on your Airport Express or Airport Extreme Base Station.

would agree with Chenks in which case you might want to try the admin password for your machine.

nah it won't be that. you set an admin password on the airport itself. if you've forgotten that then you're screwed and will most likely need to do a hard reset.

i wouldn't be too sure. i haven't updated airport firmware in some time but IIRC it is similar to when you install software on your Mac - you're being asked for your admin password.

yes i know, i have an AEBS myself and am fully aware of what passwords are required.
