Iphone 4 keeps flashing on and off

My iphone 4 constantly flashes on and off when it is not in use, can any advise me how to rectify this problem, I have tried restore to original settings and reloading everything but it’s still doing it. It flashes on and off approximately every 60 seconds.

I have the same issue. It happens two or three time a day. It happens during incoming call, access the browser, plug in the charger,..etc. I went to the genius bar at apple store and got the phone replaced. The new one also does the same. I did restore and removed all applications and still goes crazy. Maybe they gave me the same old broken phone that someone returned. I have to make another visit and see what they can do for me.
