2 in 1: Updating iTunes and Software

I just recently (last night) got my itunes software updated from 9.something to the most recent. I need to know how to retrieve my music that i had bought on itunes, because when i open itunes its not there anymore. When i tried to update my iPod touch (2nd gen)'s software, i got unkown error -9821. Can anyone help me?

well, that doesnt really help because my data on my ipod was GONE. like all the way GONE. Cannot do crap with it. and also again: it wont let me do anything with it i tried restoring it to factory settings and it again says error code 9821.. and as per the itunes... well i bought it and i cannot get it back on my computer account... so i really dont know what to do.. and im pretty darn ticked because i cant do crap with it.. and i paid them like over 140 dollars for stuff i cant even use now..

bottom line: DUBYA TEE EFF IS ERROR CODE 9821 AND HOW DO I GET TO GO AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
