Q: Error Code -37

Hello,

When trying to upload videos to our Final Cut Server, most users get a -37 error, saying that the device could not be mounted. However, I am the only one that seems to be able to upload videos, regardless of where I am logged on. All groups have administrative access to the server and the NAS that we have runnning Windows Server 2003. How can we fix this issue?

    FCS is running under the user account that was set up when we first got the iMac. I am getting the issue where when we reboot, it keeps saying it has an invalid serial number, but I have no clue why that's happening because we do everything on that machine with the same user account. But I read about the UID issue and have yet to fix that. I'm under the impression that you can only do AD or OD with Local Accounts only.

    Ok then. I'm sorry to say that there's nothing else I can think of (sitting here in my iMAC 5000 miles away from your system) to help you on this matter. You should call a consultant or call for help from Apple.

    Thanks anyway, I think I'm just going to reinstall OSX and see if that'll help.

    Because it was a local account on the NAS that I was using, I entered the computer name as the workgroup when applying the device settings - as it is when you use Windows. However, leaving this blank made it work. I guess I need to get used to the differences :-p Thanks for all your help!
