Best email server to use?

I just got the iPhone 4 - I love it and want to sync email from my MacBook to my iPhone. I also need to create a new email account. What is the best server to use that has IMAP and would work well with my iPhone and Mail? Comcast, Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL,....

Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Hi and welcome...

I have yet to have any problems with a Gmail (IMAP) account.

If you don't have a Gmail account set up, on your Mac go to Google and create a new account with a user name and password.

Then on your iPhone tap Settings / General / Mail, Contacts, and Calendars / Add Account / Gmail.
Fill in the information and tap Next.
