I'm not able to get onto WiFi anymore. If I go to settings and Wi-Fi it's greyed out. I'm not able to join any network. I already reset my phone to factory settings and it still doesn't work. I've also tried to update my phone on Itunes but I get..

"There was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone "Angelina's iphone". The network connection timed out.

Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later.

I've tried 5 times. It's frustrating.

If you had done everything and reset to factory settings, can you sync stuff to the phone from iTunes?

I don't have anything to really sync up. I have no music on iTunes. I'm just trying to upgrade my iphone to the latest OS ( I think that's what It's called).
I have that latest iTunes as well. Just downloaded it today.

Just tried to download and App. It said the same thing also.

Greyed out WiFI usually means a hardware failure requiring replacement. This is certainly the case if your restored the phone in iTunes as a new iPhone (without using a backup) and it failed to fix it. Don't know what you mean by "reset to factory settings" - please use correct terminology.

If you're having trouble updating or restoring as you describe, disable all firewall and antivirus/spyware apps on your computer.

None of this applies if you've jailbroken or hacked your phone. In that case, sol.

Modular747 must be a "genius". Condescend much? If you can't help...don't post. If you have trouble figuring out that reset and restore are simile's go back to school. Douche

Wow! You created a new user ID and jumped in here today just to make yourself look even more ignorant than you did in your other threads? Reset and Restore aren't synonyms or "simile's" (sic). Get a dictionary; repeat 8th grade.
