What is Airplay? I'm guessing this is a wireless speaker system that I can connect to my AppleTV for better sound? Where can I buy these?

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.7)

AirPlay is a technology that allows you to stream audio and video from your iOS device (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad) to the Apple TV. The big potential of this is that it's supposed to be able to stream video from third-party iOS apps, not just Apple's video or music apps. It's not really completely out yet, because the portable devices require iOS 4.2 to use it, which isn't out till next month. AirPlay is an evolution of AirTunes, which is the current-existing technology that lets you stream music from iTunes to an Apple TV or an Airport Express. The other cool thing about AirPlay is that Apple is opening it up to third parties, so you will be able to stream audio or video from your devices to third party speakers or receivers, but none of those devices are out yet. Apple's AirPlay site doesn't really list the full potential that they announced at their Apple TV event, probably because the video part of AirPlay isn't out yet, but here's their page: http://www.apple.com/itunes/airplay/
