Believe it or not, it looks like their "fix" for the situation of hyperthreading cores only being used on quad machines, was to DISABLE USING HT CORES on quad machines.

Yes, the machines that showed eight cores and used the HT cores before now only show four and no longer use those cores. Checking performance with the benchmark session, CPU performance is close to HALVED. Anyone else with a quad with HT please test and make sure my machine isn't an anomaly.

Someone please tell me this is a sick joke.

And everyone make a copy of 9.1.1 before you upgrade, you will want it if you're a quad user.

They've been busy, very promising list of 70+ fixes & improvements, looks like they have been monitoring this board - and probably others too (LPH). Quite a few mixer routing flaws have been adressed - nice. I love busing. One thing I simply do not comprehend though, under "Compatability":
"Improves compatibility with select Audio Unit plug-ins."
is that a brand? select Audio plug-ins? Or do they mean 'selected'? Or 'selecting'? And even if they do, I still don't get it. How?
Anyway, time to download.
