iPAD won't work at hotels

Several solutions have been discussed.

Yes, some times I experience this as well. Usually you have to agree to the terms and conditions in order for the ipad to make a valid connection. So try this, locate your hotels SSID (network name), tap on the name, wait for a check, the go right into safari and agree to the terms

Most hotels make you accept a terms and conditions to use their wifi. Sometimes a page will pop up, other times you have to use the method further down in this thread.

I've stayed at a number of hotels and so far wifi has worked at all of them.

In the three and a half months I have had an iPad, it has been to FL twice, NYC twice, St. Louis once, and Paris, France. I have had no problems connecting to WiFi routers in hotels and private residences. At one hotel it was necessary to accept conditions for WiFi access through Safari. At that hotel for some reason I had to do that each day. Others one time was enough.

After having selected the network name the first time connecting, the iPad found the network and reconnected without prompting after being away from the network and then brought back into range of the network...just like it is supposed to do.

There are those on here who report problems...I have had nothing but good experiences with the iPad.

@Bill1963 Although you have not described exactly what you mean by "won't connect with hotel wi-fi", in addition to the suggestions above, try this: On the iPad go to Settings>Safari and turn off the "Autofill" option. I had a couple of instances where my iPad would not connect to a hotel network when this option was enabled. Turning it off solved the problem.

That should work. I was in Vegas, Utah, and NYC last month and didn't have a problem connecting.

Most hotels and a lot of other hotspots have a registration or sign in screen. If that particular system uses a flash based sign in screen, you will never see it, and never get connected.

Are you opening Safari? You have to do more than make sure the hotel's network is chosen in the iPad's settings (like enter the hotel's passcode--do that at Safari).
