Video works on ATV1, but not ATV2. "An error occurrd loading this content"
This video was processed using handbrake's ATV setting. My iTunes (v.10.0.1) library is on a TimeCapsule. MacBook is on 10.6.4. Certain movies do not play on my ATV2, but play just fine on my ATV1. The error message is as follows: an error occurred loading this content please try again later
This is definitely an iOS issue with the encoding of certain VIDEO files. As I mentioned, this has occurred for me with some REV3 podcasts too. I verified that the Apple event last week did not play on my new iTV or ANY of my iOS devices.
Same issue here. Both new Apple TV 2 and original version. Just got it and can't watch my newly ripped movies. Some with sound only, other movies I have watched previously no longer play now. They all play on my MacPro iTunes though.
Come on Apple! We invest a lot in you! Get this together!!!!!!!!!
Update: Having moved my library of movies from my Airport USB Hard Drive, and onto my Time Capsule, as well as unplugging and restarting my ATV2, my media is now working.
Have all the same issues. Content ripped from Handbreak that played on ATV1, is inconsistent on ATV2. All recent rips do not play at all.
Setting Dolby Dig from Auto to ON...
Interesting...now movies that would not load getting the error: "An error occurred loading this content" will load but
excruciatingly slow. Looking forward to an update.
I also still have the problem. Frustrated and disappointed at such a rudimentary error with this product. Do Apple actually act on any of these comments I wonder
