Unable to paste photos, please help!

I am unable to paste photos in events or albums. I have tried shortcuts, menu and right click. Has anyone encountered/fixed this? This has only happened recently.
Thanks

iPhoto is a database an you can not simply place (or paster) items into it - you must import them

You can move photos between events by flagging the photos and go to the destination event and under the event menu ==> add flagged photos to the selected event

you can add photos to an album by simply dragging them from the event to the album in the source pane on the left

Of course - Add flagged photos to the selected event - will do exactly that - add flagged photos to the selected event

What is the purpose of the flagged photos? flags generally are used for short term identification of certain photos = for long term identification put them in an album and leave the flag for short term use
