SYNC from Palm Pilot

I just got my iTouch but it would be REALLY helpful if I could sync my calendar and contact from my Palm Pilot. Have been reading and trying but no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi -

I actually just did this, the hard way. I exported from Palm Desktop softward 4.1.4 to a folder in My Documents. Specifically, I exported each record as a .vcf, or vcard, file. Then I imported each one individually into Outlook. Then I synced the iPod with Outlook Contacts. Yeah, it is painstakingly slow.

I tried to export several records to Excel, then import the Excel file to Outlook, but this did not work for some reason which I do not know. Something about the translator having a problem from Excel to Outlook. But maybe it will work for you.

Let me know if you find anything easier than the way I did it. Good luck. Thanks.

Here is a partial solution:
This is what I just got done doing...If you are using a Treo, go to the Mark/space site & download a free trial of "Missing Sync for Palm OS" (good for 14 days).
The only catch is this Mark/Space software only runs on OS 10.5.8 or earlier..I had a older Mac I did all this on, so it was no problem.
Install the software, then sync your Palm Treo to the laptop for the latest adjustments you may have made, & run the software (there is a guide with the software to walk you through it).
Then I ran the mobile me sync (I have this account - a way I saw how to do this), an up came my old palm calendar in iCal on any computer I like.
I am happy I finally got the info into iCal, but now have problems getting it to sync with my ipod touch..it still wont show up there...but, well, one step at a time.
