I have some problems with sync. my Ipod classic 3the generation since I have updated Itunes (Itunes 10).
I have several play lists for my musics. I sorted them in genres. for example a list for Rap, a list for R&B,...
And I have one list called "Mix", there I choose songs from my different genres and put them there.
But lately Itunes doesn't sync. all the songs from that list (=Mix). If I have there 100 songs, it only sync. 64 or something. And all the songs in my other play list aren't there either (= in my Ipod) .
I hope that someone can help me Thanks in advance.

So far everything is going smoothly.I had playlists of aprox. 350 songs (each one) in iTunes, and after the sync, there were only like 287 songs of them on iPod (at that specific playlist).Instead of going through every un-synced song, I selected all the songs in the specific iTunes playlist with the purpose to edit the ID3 Tags, and see if they would then be synced.. to iPodI did not want to change important tags such as artist, name, album, etc...So what I did was that I selected all the songs within the playlist and I edited the (pretty useless) "Comment" tag field. So it was like editing simultaneously the comment of all those songs, and I wrote whatever non sense I wanted there (e.g. rock music, or just pressed two spaces...).This way, all the songs of that playlist were now having a newly edited tag.On the next Sync.. all the songs were transfered successfully to iPod !!Yay! This means success!Let's hope this lasts.... and no fresh terrifying sync issues will come up in the near future...
yes, I went thrue all the possible mistakes and surched on different sites. But still the same problem. I even deleted all my play lists and started new ones. Even deleted Itunes and installed again but no results
If you want the ipod to have the same playlist order the songs have in itunes, right-click on that playlist and choose "Copy to Play Order". That always works for me.
I don't know why they're not copying, though.
How about the "Convert to 128 kbps option" - is that turned on? Maybe that would force the songs to get copied over. OR give some kind of error message. If there anything at all in common with the songs that won't copy?
had the same prob, fixed it: you will need to find somthing comin with the songs that dont sync.
go to itunes, go to the list of songs in you music libraby. now on the top where it sais name/time/artist... right click it and you will have alot of more opptions. look for the one called : kind. sort them by kind, and you should see that not all the songs are the same kind. if you have the same problum i had, well just hilight all the songs that dont sync, right click them and select: create mp3 version.
First of all, thanks for trying to help me, kind of you.
I have done what you said but they are all of the same kind, "MPEG audio file"
I have reduced the amount of my songs in the play list "Mix" to 36 songs but in my Ipod I have 35. I found that one song and there is nothing wrong with it, but I do have the song in my other play list "R&B" and it works perfectly.
And if I increase the amount of my songs in my "Mix" list, I get more songs that it doesn't sync. .
Good afternnon from rainy Livingston in Scotland people.
I seem to have a similar problem to L Anderson from Belgium.
Two months ago I had to re-format the hard drive on my laptop as there seemed to be a lot of problems. I re-loaded all the software for my laptop, and then downloaded iTunes version 10. I now find that my iPhone (3GS) cannot synch all my music and audiobooks from my phone to iTunes. All iTunes seems to synch is the items that were bought from the iTunes store and the iTunes apps. All the other music that I copied from CD's does not synch: also, I spent a sum of money upgrading my songs from the iTunes store and again, iTunes does not synch them to my iPhone. Also, when I click on Devices in iTunes, my iPhone is recognized, but I cannot see my music or audiobooks.
