I downloaded the "SRS WOW HD MAC" driver from the Viewsonic website for my Viewsonic LCD display speakers but it opens as a text file. How can I use the SRS WOW HD sound feature in iTunes? I was able to use it in Windows Media Player with the same display. Thanks for any ideas.
Just checked and it is a .sit file (StuffIt Expander file) and it contains an installer package.
What happens when you double click the downloaded .sit file?
Yo can download a free StuffIt Expander application here ->
http://www.stuffit.com/mac-expander.html
I can confirm that ViewSonic's SRS iWOW installer is a StuffIt file (that's what the .sit filename extension means) and that StuffIt Expander will do the trick.
