Q: Adding an Additional Proxy Device for Increase Storage
Hi,
FinalCut Server has been working fine for me thus far. Looking forward however I can see that the 500 GB disk I chose as the Proxy Device during install is going to run out of space in the not too distant future.
Trolling through the manuals it seems the Contentbase devices are somewhat restricted and I am unsure as to how to simply add another local disk for FCSrv to use as an extended Proxy Location.
Is it as simple as adding another device using the Admin panel...if so...I would like to simply have the newest files go to the new location while having access to the old proxies at the original location.
Can I get there from here ?
Thanks in Advance

It is as simple as you expect. Create a new Contentbase device, change the proxy location in admin preferences, and new proxies will go there but old proxies will still be linked in their old location.
