Carrier 8.0 Version 4.1 (8B117) Model MB489C Model Firmware 05.14.02
I have a iPhone 3g with pay-as-you-go simcard locked to Telus (Canada).
After waiting the requisite 72 hours after activation, phone continually states NO SERVICE. After some talk with Telus, there answer is to take it to the Genius Store (why are they located so far apart and away?). The phone is not under warranty so requires paying for care. Wifi does work.
Looking for any suggestions to resolve the issue. Particularly how to create a full wipe of the phone of bootrom (whatever that is?) and firmware. And restart this iphone as a brand new iphone 3G with no history.
