Apple LED Cinema Display 27" : Single Resolution in Windows 7

Hi,

I had some problems using my brand new Apple LED Cinema Display 27" with Windows 7 32-bits via Bootcamp. My computer is a MacBook Pro 13.3 late 2009.

I resolved the issue and want to share that with you, in case you experience the same trouble.

First, more details about the problem:

No sweat under Mac OS X 10.6. The issue only occurs in Bootcamp (Windows 7 in this case, may also apply to other versions, not tested). In fact, 1280x720 is the only resolution available, which is of course really blurry on such a high-end display (the millage may vary depending of the machine you own). Well, you can change the resolution via the NVIDIA Panel, but the resolution will be reset upon rebooting the computer.

The answer?

Simply download the latest drivers from NVIDIA:

It appears that, at time of writing, there is no fix available via Apple Software Update. You have to update the drivers manually.

Hope that helps!
