Wrapsol for iPhone 4...does it realy protect from drops?

I would imagine any stick on shield will eventually start to peel up at the corners or edges. I just ordered a set of the Ultra and, while I don't think I'll be testing the drop theory in the near future, I think the rest of the package may work for me and what you call a minimalistic approach. I currently use a Zagg shield inside an Otterbox Defender but the feel of the Zagg and the bulkiness of the Defender have really taken away from the original design of the phone. I'm hoping the Wrapsol even covers the antennagate issue - not that that was much of a concern for me in particular.
I digress - I'lldrop my thoughts on this setup sometime after I get it all together...

While I'm sure the claims this product offers excellent protection from scratches is likely true, I would be very suspect of the claims you can drop the phone with minimal to no damage. The iP4 is glass front and back. And glass can break. Period. The price seems very reasonable for a full body skin, but I wouldn't feel more comfortable about your phone not shattering if dropped......

I tried a number of cases back when I got my 3GS - Otterbox defender, commuter, and at least 5 others. None of them were appealing for one reason or another (added excessive bulk, block ports, obscured edges of screen, could not be carried comfortably, ...).

A naked iPhone is so much better then any case or cover I've ever tried. I do use a slip case when not actually using my iPhone - I have a couple of nice Sena leather slipcases to pop it into when it goes into my pocket. Yes, it means it is not protected when I'm using it, but in 14 or 15 years of owning cell phones, the single time I've ever dropped one there isn't a case in the world that would have mattered (since a car backed over it seconds later before I could snatch it back up).

I have the ultra on my iphone 4. I can say that it has done the job so far. I dropped the phone twice from between 3 and 4 feet high. Once on tile floor and the other time on a wood floor. I would not recommend dropping it but the phone is in great shape with no scratches or cracks after the 2 falls.
