FaceTime Beta verification not working

I got successfully verified, however the servers were a bit slow in responding. I imagine if you try later it will work.

They must be getting hit! It might be me, but the download link is not on the page!!

Same here... It is still a BETA so it's sort of to be expected.

Anyone know how to uninstall the FaceTime Mac Beta? The installer doesn't offer an "uninstall" and you can't just delete the FT app bundle.

I had a similar problem and here is how I've solved it. When I tried to log in using my MobileMe USERNAME@me.com address, it would never stop "verifying...". However, after I sign in using USERNAME@mac.com everything seemed to be OK, and no verification step was necessary. So now it works, and I can call from my iPhone 4 to MAC.COM, but not ME.COM address. This is obviously a glitch in the beta.

Still can't verify this email and Apple ID?!

Tried several times, same kind of problem you sometimes get when trying to sign-in to these forums. (You have to either clear your cache, repeatedly retry, retry later, or retry by going to the top-level support page and trying to log-in via that access point).

Annoying, but it is beta, so beh.

Hi Guys,

I have been trying throughout the day to verify my email address via the link Apple sent... clicked it over and over, & refreshed over & over in Safari (5.0.2)... but always received an "Internal Server Error".

So I copied & pasted the link into Firefox (3.5.9) and it worked first time.

I couldn't log into the Apple forums to post this reply using Safari either - but FF was fine. Safari bug perhaps? It's working now though.

I could not get past the verification stage with Face Time. I tried to use the Gmail address I use with my iTunes Account, but I get the error message: "Unable to verify email because it is already in use". I am reluctant to change my email address for my Apple ID. Any ideas how to fix this?
