Not all photos showing in screensaver

So far everything has been working great with my new Apple TV except for one thing. I created an iPhoto album with all of my favorite album covers (about 1250 in all) but the screensaver only shows a small subset. As the pics are alphabetical by artist, right now it seems to only be showing "C-E". It wouldn't bother me so much if it changed from time to time but it is always the same subset. Any suggestions?

I finally figured this out. All of your pictures have to be downloaded to your computer for them show up on your screensaver. Hence, photos in iCloud do not show up on screen saver. Here is what I had to do:

You can do this two ways:

1. Stop iCloud and download all of your images to your computer.

2. Click on each picture and let them download. It takes seconds but if you have 15,000 like me, it can be time consuming.

I have a slightly different problem, in that the screen saver only streams my iPhoto photos for a minute or two, and then stops. I tried to stream my photos as a screen saver while streaming songs from my iTunes library. The photo stream didn't even make it through one song and then stopped. Anyone having this problem?

I'm having the same problem. I have a photo album of about 400 photos and I'm just getting a subset of them displayed in the screen saver. Very disappointing. My guess is that there's limited storage space on the device, so it just selects a random subset to download until the space is filled. I tried going into settings and selecting the same album again and I did get a different subset the second time. But after a few minutes the screen went black and the photos stopped scrolling. Bummer.

This is sooo disappointing 😟

My favorite thing about the AppleTV was how beautifully is showed photos on the screen saver. Having only a few hundred photos in a screen saver is very boring as within a few minutes you've seen them all and you just feel like turning it off.

I used to leave the screen saver on all the time when friends and family would visit. Its because of seeing the screen saver at my place that many of my friends bought an AppleTV over the last few years.

Please, please Apple try to sort this one out.....please.

how did you get it to work. I can not get the screen saver to use more than about 100 photos.

In addition to only seeing a fraction of the photos selected appear during a Screensaver sequence, I have also noticed the Screensaver reverts back to the "Animals" photoset on it's own. I'm still reading through other posts on that one, but yeah, the limit on the number of photos in a screensaver is weird.

Hi...I am having the exact same problem, with a very limited subset of pictures showing in the Apple TV 2 screensaver. All of my software (iTunes, Snow Leopard) is completely up to date...I tried fooling the system by duplicating the album I am using (of 642 pics) and selecting the new album, but to no avail. This thread is listed as "Answered" when it clearly isn't. Has anyone found a solution? Apple, if you are monitoring this thread, this is an extremely irritating issue. Help! Thanks.

Sean
