It's just a new name. Calling it facetime camera really isn't all that logical since it's just an ordinary webcam. iSight wasn't a very good name either. But I guess webcam isn't either. So let's just call it Whitney Huston.
If you open up a specific model and look under tech specs you should find the weight.
About speed of a flash drive, they talk about twice the performance or something, but that's just at raw write/read-tests.

Until Apple publishes more technical data or someone gets and test a new MBAir, that is the best I can offer.
