iTunes still shows old apps

I'm trying to delete apps I don't use anymore. In my list to the left there are many apps "unmarked" (they are not in my iphone), but I have no way to remove them from the list.

MacBook Pro 13" 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

This drove me crazy for a bit and then I discovered it's just too simple.

Go to 'Library' on the left and select 'Apps'.

Right-click and delete away !!
