Using .GIF In Final cut pro or motion

Hi,
Sorry for asking two different questions in one forum. I just wanted to ask how do I make a .Gif animation transparent and use in final cut pro or motion. If i can't, is there any other way i could do it. Please tell if you know, i am working on a big project and it helps me a lot. Thanks in advance for any replies.
