How do i keep 2 iphone contacts separate on one computer?

My husband just got a new iphone 4 and synced his phone to our computer where i have all my iphone 4 contacts, music etc. When he synced his it added all my contacts as well. So now im afraid to sync mine again and lose my contacts and his show up? i just want to keep my contacts especially separate. How? 🙂

Not to worry. iTunes will keep each of your configs separate as long as each of your devices have a unique name. However, you will need to use the itemize options for selecting which contacts, photos, etc. you want to avoid syncing "all of them including your hubby's" and vice-versa. iTunes will keep them separate and perform separate backups based on each device name.

I keep two iPod Touches and an iPad synced separately including separate app collections and different music files, books, and movies.
