aperture library not showing in mail, iweb or iphoto
After upgrading to 3.1 my Aperture Library is not coming up in other applications. It also is not showing up as an option for screen saver. Anyone have this issue?
15" MacBook Pro 2.33 (late 2006),
Mac OS X (10.6.4)
Do you have everything looking right inside the library? Can you go into your Aperture library bundle and see if you have the following files: an ApertureData.xml file, an iLifeShared folder, and inside the iLifeShared folder a file called ApertureDatabaseTimestamp?
Something else to try might be to make a change in Aperture (such as flagging or rating an image, importing a new image, renaming a project, etc.), then exiting out of Aperture and seeing if Aperture photo's show up in the other iapps.
Thanks for the response.
Where would I find this ApertureData.xml and ILifeShared folder?
I've done a search on mu hard drive and nothing is coming up.
I re downloaded 3.1 and installed it but still getting the same result.
To view those files, you need to right-click on the Aperture library and Show Package Contents. They are in there, but be careful not to delete or move anything.
OK thanks and yes the files are in there.
i've tried shuttersp33d's suggestion but to no avail.
The same problem came up when 3.0 first came out and, I think, the first update corrected the problem...
