You can check the Installable Options panel in the Print & Fax Prefs->Options & Supplies->Driver tab. That should have a check box for the duplex unit.

Looking at the PPD for this printer, it doesn't look like duplex is supported. There's no mention of duplex in the PPD, so maybe they removed this. Have you talked to HP?

You may be able to use a comparable HP PPD that does support duplex.

I have this printer and the same problem. This printer does not have a hardware duplex unit, the duplex is entirely manual.

In the old driver settings, you could check off the "Two sided" checkbox (beside the Collate checkbox), and the unit will basically print off the odd pages, then after that it will pause until you take the printed pages and put it back in the tray, then press the Go button to initiate the print for the other side.

There is no settings (besides Tray 3) in Options and Supplies.
