iphone 4 music will not sync

Just got a new iphone 4, and contacts and email and everything else syncs fine but my music WILL NOT SYNC!!!!

Tried numerous times, keeps coming up that different tracks are corrupt but then in the next attempt they are fine.

Running the latest version of itunes, on windows vista.

Please help! This is driving me insane!

Just tried again, a few tracks have gone on and itunes says the sync was complete but the library on my phone still shows no content.
What is going on?!

Have you tried basics from the manual?

Restart.

Reset.

Restore.

The key word could be "Vista". I had problems syncing with iTunes on Vista, but not with iTunes on XP (and a colleague has had no issues syncing with iTunes on Windows 7). Do you have an XP or 7 PC to which you can move your iTunes library?

FYI my iTunes library is on a network share and is shared by both computers, so Sync gets the same content either way. The Vista PC had problems but the XP PC has been 100% reliable so far.
