iPhoto '11 and Calendars

I received my copy of iLife '11, but I think I'm going to hold off installing until the first iPhoto update, because of the various problems I have been reading specifically about iPhoto '11. My question is that since iPhoto '11 currently does not support calendars, what happens to the calendars within my iPhoto '09 library? When I do eventually update to iPhoto '11, will the calendars be moved over?

No. Attempting to reinstall older versions of iPhoto after upgrading to iPhoto '11 can be problematic and is not recommended. You can export the photos you would like to use out of iPhoto '11 and build your calendar in an earlier version of iPhoto on another computer. However, the ability to order calendars in iPhoto '11 will become available very soon.

You're wise not to install '11 yet. Calendars is not available and Apple has told me directly that they do not know when it will be. It's ashamed that they have released a product that people are buying before it is ready. I am very disappointed.

I am really annoyed about this. I just upgraded and had no clue that I couldn't create calendars with iPhoto '11. I make calendars for 5-6 family members every year for Christmas and now I'm not sure I'll be able to if they don't release the update in the next few weeks.

How difficult can it really be to add that functionality to the the new version of iPhoto? I would have rather them leave out some other new feature so they could at least include all the preexisting features.
