Missing plug-in

Got the new Macbook Air and basically love it as my secondary/traveling computer. The only issue I'm having so far is that in Safari one particular web-site does not display embedded youtube videos - it says some plug-in is missing and that it can't identify it. I can view youtube videos at youtube's own site, so does anyone know what could be wrong? What plug-in could be missing? There is nothing fancy about this web-site!

The new MBAs don't come with Flash pre-installed. You need to go to Adobe's website and download it yourself.

You might want to try Flash 10.2 Beta; it reduces the CPU load by over half. In everyday use this means over extra 1hr of battery life on the 13 inch and no annoying fan noise.

I've been using it for 3 weeks and its running without any problems.

P.S. you need to uninstall Flash 10.1 before installing Flash 10.2 Beta and don't use Google Chrome.

First, installing Flash is usually a very simple affair. (I recently installed it on 6 Macs, so I know.) The reality of the mobile world is having Flash animated ads onscreen will cut your battery life by 33% ( http://arstechnica.com/apple/reviews/2010/11/the-future-of-notebooks-ars-reviews -the-11-macbook-air.ars/3), so it's not quite as cut and dried as you may think.

Ditto on a previous poster's recommendation of Flash 10.2 beta for a more efficient Flash, but I also strongly recommend ClickToFlash to prevent Flash ads from stealing your battery life. http://clicktoflash.com/
