Itunes 10 on Windows 7

I have installed the new Itunes version on my Windows 7 64bit laptop. When I want to activate the computer, a message box appears that an error occured when storing idnetification information. I have not seen any error message during the installation. The recommendation is to use the repair function in the program installation/deinstallation menu. I tried this several times without success.

Any idea what's wrong here?

That's an odd message.

Perhaps it relates to the SCInfo files? That handles authorisations and part of authorising involves identifying which particular computer has been authorised ... so perhaps the procedures from the following document might be worth trying:
