How to delete an app that doesn't show on any screen

I think I have a corrupt app that is causing my backup to run forever. I know which app it is but it doesn't show on any screen because I have alot of apps. How can I delete it?

Mac OS X (10.6.1)

Do you mean uncheck it in iTunes on the Apps tab? I tried that but my backup still won't run. From looking at the backup file, it still tries to backup the app in question, I guess because it's still on the iPad at that point. If I delete enough apps on the iPad itself, will the apps that don't show now appear when there is room?

no.

i mean delete. right-click on the app in iTunes and choose delete from the pop-up menu, then initiate a sync. that'll remove the app completely.

you might want to try to re-download the app and try if that fixes the issue. see _*How to redownload purchased apps from the App Store*_.
