How to delete an app that doesn't show on any screen
I think I have a corrupt app that is causing my backup to run forever. I know which app it is but it doesn't show on any screen because I have alot of apps. How can I delete it?
Do you mean uncheck it in iTunes on the Apps tab? I tried that but my backup still won't run. From looking at the backup file, it still tries to backup the app in question, I guess because it's still on the iPad at that point. If I delete enough apps on the iPad itself, will the apps that don't show now appear when there is room?
Jolly, for those of using Macs and Mac mice, what is the magic combination? No combination of control-, alt-, or command-clicking on the app I'd like to remove in iTunes gives me the pop-up menu you are describing.
I have an app that did not fully download, don't know what it is does not show up in itunes library and an 'x' does not show up on iPad screen to delete. How do I get rid of it?
Try \:
- Signing out and back in in iTunes
- Powering off and then back on your iPad
- Resetting your iPad
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
