Beginner's question: what is calDAV? I'm asking because a FAQ says I have to add a calDAV account to use the new iCal on my iPad. Thanks!

CalDAV is a system that allows you to access (read and edit) calendars on a remote server. I am assuming that you are talking about the new, beta version of the MobileMe calendar?...

And unfortunately, even though it's "required", it seems to be seriously buggy. I've had endless problems with my calendar ever since the upgrade, primarily with not being allowed to enter events because of the following message:
    HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden

and whenever I synch my iPhone with my Mac, all the recurring and multiday events in my calendar are doubled
