Omnis web client plug in on safari

I got some troubles on installing omnis web client in fact I download the dmg file, mount it and click on install and I receive the correct message "Installation complete" but when I try to use this on a web site I can only see the message: "plugin missing" and no more. I tried also the old versions without any changes in the result and also I checked the plug in installed on my safari without any trace of omnis web client.

Also I can access to the web site via my wife's PC without any problems!!

Please help me!

MacBook Pro 3.1, Mac OS X (10.6.4), Safari 5.0.2

Hi

does it need Safari to be run in 32 mode, perhaps?

quit Safari, select the app in Applications folder, & use File-get info - then check the 'open in 32 bit' box

does it show in either mode under Safari-Help-Installed Plug-Ins ?

Last resort, if the plugin is actually visible in HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ or Home/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ is to run Safari under Rosetta (same info window as above)
but don't do that unless you really have to - it will slow Safari down.

After the installer app runs - you should see a file in HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/
named 'webclient.plugin'

and an entry in Safari-Help-Installed Plug-Ins as follows

Omnis Webclient Plugin
The Omnis Webclient Plugin allows you to access Omnis Remote Forms via your Web Browser — from file “webclient.plugin”.
MIME Type Description Extensions
application/omnis-rcc-plugin Webclient Content smp

---

If you're not seeing either of those, and you have +*restarted Safari since installing*+...I'd guess the installer app didn't install after all - you should be able to place the plugin manually, after extracting it from the download... let me know if you want to try that.

Hi

that's odd - what should happen is the download osxweb.dmg opens to show an osxweb application. You double click that & it places a file webclient.plugin in +HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/+

Anyway, all the app seems to do, is extract the plugin & place it - which you can do 🙂

Highlight the osxweb application & ctrl-click + show package contents
Look inside for .../Contents/install/webclient.tar &double-click it... a 10MB file will be extracted to your usual Downloads folder - named webclient.plugin

Drag that file into HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ along with your Flash, quicktime etc ones; Quit any browsers; and omnis plugin should now be available to any browser - check it in Safari-Help-Installed Plug-Ins/ which will also list the other plugins, of course. If it doesn't, ensure that Safari-Preferences-Security-Enable plug-ins isn't checked Off.

If there's still no sign - check in another browser and a New User Account
