Apache war file in Xcode

Hi every one...
I wish to know if I can use Xcode to make some updates to a project that was originally made with eclipse that use Java, JSP, Springframework and MySql?
I really want to know about Xcode not if I should use Eclipse or any other IDE.
I really want to use Xcode to develop a web application for a Merchandising Manager tool, that can connect to a MySql data base and run in Apache or PHP or ISS 6 (the wed server is a MS 2003 R2), I can´t change this until the next year....
I are open to any suggestion...

Thanks...

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Sure. Xcode is just and IDE with an editor. It supports makefile-based projects.

I suggest Safari and HTML5.

Can you give me some tips... Should I use Dashcode instead Xcode?

It is not an either or. Use Dashcode if you want to build a web application with Safari. Use Xcode if you are using other technologies.

Its will be a server side application? what about security? what about SQL instructions? Can you put me in the right path?

And by the way... how can I import the .war file in what kind of project inside Xcode...

I don't know what a .war file is. Is that a Java thing? Apple is deprecating Java.

Yes a .war file is a package file to be deployment into an Apache Server, that contains all necessary files to run an application... something like a .jar file

Now in your opinion do you use HTML5 & Safari to build an application like the I need to write? Or do you use JAVA

Thanks you!!!
