Itunes 10 + specified module error

Hi

I've had a similar problem to most.
Prompted to install Itunes 10 - i did and it worked seemingly fine.

The next day it would not open, so I followed the advice eleswhere on here to try and get the Windows Clean Up Install program from the right place, but i get an error message from 'Windows script host' stating 'the specified module could not be found'.

Can anyone help - am i destined never to listen to my itunes again ?

What's the precise text of that error please? There's a few that I'm familiar with from CleanUp installs, but I'm not quite sure which one you're getting. (If it gives the name of the module, let us know what that one is, too.)

Hi
Thanks for that
It says -

Windows Script Host
Script: C:\DOCUME~1\JONATH~1\LOCALS~1\TEMP\IXPOOO.TMP\STARTMSI.VBS
Line:1
Char:1
Error: The specified module could not be found
Code: 8007007E
Source: (nill)

I think i've transcribed that right.

Interestingly earlier today when i downloaded an mp3 online itunes (version 10) opened up and it worked fine (all i could determine was that it said Bonjour had failed to install properly).

Help is appreciated...

🙂 perfect, thanks Jon.

It's not one I see reported very often at all, but I keep coming across Ramesh's advice for it when I search for other CleanUp install errors. Fingers crossed, the instructions he gives here will get your CleanUp installed:
