Mini DV MD80 drivers

I have been thinking of buying a Mini DV MD80 video camera that uses a Mini SD card

My only concern is that I don't know what I am doing and I can't even find support for Mac drivers.
When I go fishing I normally turn up something but most of the links on utube don't lead me anywhere.

Has anyone brought any of the variants of these micro camcorders and used them successfully to use on a Mac.

I'm not quite sure what you use a driver for. I got the impression that the camcorder recorded an AVI file so would I need a driver at all.

Many thanks if someone could explain to a person who's brain is a little bit damaged by Multiple Sclerosis so my "Understanding" is a bit impaired.

In-fact I'm so dim I'm not even sure where to post this request for information so please understand and point me in the right direction so I'm putting it under OSX10.4

No trouble...

I read the bit you posted about ~ "Built-in Image Capture APP" and the bit about see if it mounts as another hard drive but that was still way over my head.

Image Capture in Applications is what handles most Cameras in OSX.

But many Cameras will mount as a Drive also when plugged into the Mac, in which case you can double click on it to open it & get at the AVIs.

Let us know if it works or we can explain anything better or help in some way.
