Itunes doesn't recognize my Ipad

I can see it is a common problem for more Ipad-users, but my Itunes doesn't recognize my ipad. Apple provides multiple steps to take to counter this problem, but nothing helps. On my other computer (laptop) itunes does recognize my ipad, but on my normal computer it doesn't. Itunes does recognize my ipod on my normal computer so that's very strange. What can i do to fix this problem?
Thank you

I had the exact problem discussed above. All my other devices are recognized when I plug them into my main PC but the new Ipad I bought didn't.....

Solution: Go to my computer right click for properties then go to hardware then device manager. With the device connectted check the USB connection to see if there is a yellow explanation next to the Ipad driver (this means it's not working properly). If there is uninstall the driver by right clicking. After thats complete right click on Universal Serial Bus Controllers and scan for hardware changes and the computer will automatically recognize the device

Hope this helps.

A week or so ago iTunes (on windows 7x64) updated itself. After that it stopped showing my iPad in its device list, even though ⚠ it detected that iPad needs an OS upgrade to 4.3 and performed that upgrade.
I tried to restore previous version of iTunes (from restore point), reinstall iTunes from scratch - nothing helps. My iPad is simply not there. I went through all the apple troubleshooting list suggestions, including multiple system reboots.
What gives? How can I fix this?
Thank you!

I tried all the solutions listed by the Support team of Apple but none of them worked but after trying the following I finally got back my iphone shown in itunes (I am using Windows): restart both services "Apple Mobile Device" and "iPod Service" using the following steps:

1. First disconnect your mobile phone.

2. Open the control Panel.

3. Double click services.

4. Right Click the "Apple Mobile Device" Service, Click Stop.

5. Right click it again and click Start.

6. repeat the same steps for iPod Srvice"

7. Connect your device again and open Itunes to find your device.

This solution worked with me and I hope it works with the others.
