Purple line above Timeline in FCP...
I have an odd thing happening in FCP and was hoping to get some help.
I have been editing 2-camera video for the past few days via a Multiclip. So far I have been able to view both angles simultaneously in the left preview window pane while final editing results are viewable in the right "Sequence" window pane. All has been as it should be...except for today. For some reason my green "Preview" line at the top of Timeline has turned purple. Now I no longer have the ability to preview both angles in the left window pane. Wherever I add a "Cross dissolve" transition, the line turns green. During that transition I am able to view both angles in the preview pane. I have checked the key in the "Sequence" pull down menu under all 3 "Render" options, and the color purple does not exist in the key. I assumed that maybe I needed to Render my video via one of these options. I implemented the "Render All" and "Render Only -> Preview" options several times with no change. Since this particular video is 95% done, not being able to see both angles simultaneously is a minor inconvenience. However if this were the beginning of this project, this would be a major inconvenience.
Questions:
1) What caused this?
2) How can I fix this?
3) How can I prevent this from happening in the future?
As always, thank you for your time.
