can't open directory...

Question

can't open directory...

We have FCS setup but when you attempt to put an asset into it, is says "Cannot open directory /Volumes/FinalCutProd/Media"

This is a share on our SAN and it has the everyone group with full access. How is FCS trying to access this share and how can I open it up to it so that it can write to these directories.

I guess the mount that I had to the SAN share 'unmounted' itself. Once I remounted it and then re-specified the share folders within Final Cut it was okay.

What's the best way of making the mount persistent?

By default it is persistent. Since it's not, check the Xsan logs. You may also want to check with the Xsan discussion area.
