MacBook Air and Mac OS X Lion

Anyone knows if Mac OS X Lion will run on a 1.4 GHz MacBook Air ?

iMac · iPad · iPhone · iPod classic · iPod nano · iPod touch, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

The full system requirements aren't published yet, but it's pretty certain that it will run on any machine that can run Snow Leopard.

True enough... I'm thinking of replacing my iMac (too big to carry around of course) with a MacBook Air and I'd like to know if the little one will do everything the iMac does. Thanks.

I'm sure that it will. My MBair run SL very nicely. I'm looking forward to getting Lion.

I've found the MBair to be a great system to travel with. The only drawbacks are lack of a DVD and a reduced number of ports however, that hasn't proved to be much of a problem. I think you'll be pleased with the new MBair.

I would suspect so. It would be a major marketing faux pas for Apple to talk about a new OS release and Then release a new ultra light notebook in the same event if that notebook would be unable to run the new OS. Simple enough for you to call Apple to verify if you really want to know.

When Snow Leopard was released, machines that were 4 years old could run it without requiring any upgrade to CPU, RAM or HDD. The same existed for Leopard and Tiger (Tiger ran on 5 year old machines). The only scenario that I could see possibly happening and again this is pure speculation is that Lion requires a Core2Duo run (it won't run on an Intel Core Duo or Core Solo).

Again, pure speculation, but that's what discussion boards are for... right? 🙂
