Mac OS X doesn't unzip a .ZIP file correctly.

Hi All,
I have a ZIP file that has been created on a Mac which is a InDesign CS4 Plugin. When I double click on the ZIP file to extract it, it creates a normal folder with some aliases inside it and a couple of folders, no plugin. This is happening on two MacPro 3.0ghz machines running 10.6.4 with the latest JAVA and security updates installed. I do exactly the same thing on my MacBook Pro running 10.6.4 and it unzips the file correctly, I get a InDesign CS4 Plugin on my desktop. It's a mystery. Other macs in the studio running the same version of OS don't have this issue. This is only happening on two MacPros. Any ideas what could be the cause?
Thanks,

The above article states permission problems as the culprit. The Archiver Utility.app is located in
the /System/Library/CoreServices directory, which is the same directory Finder is in.

Running Disk Utility and repairing permissions may very well fix the problem. Some other possible
solutions such as deleting a corrupt com.apple.finder.plist file are discussed in the web page
comment section.
