Mouse click (left) not working anymore

Good morning,

The new BT mouse stopped clicking. It's a brand new latest model iMac that doesn't respond to the any mice click (not even with a wired mouse). I read other posts suggesting to reset both SMC & PRAM, but no results. Please, if anyone has a theory of what's causing the problem and a possible way out, it'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Sorry for the silly question, but since I can't use the mouse button, I can't accept or change any option, including creating a new account with the + sign. Is there a keyboard shortcut to replace the left-button click? I've searched for that, but only got to the universal access pane where I'm not able to change a thing.

And again, my apologies for my ignorance.

Sorry for the silly answer, of course you can't use your mouse!
try starting up Safe Mode (It will take more time to startup in Safe Mode because it runs a directory check.)

If your mice function correctly that way, go to System Preferences >> Accounts >> Login Items, and remove them. Boot normally and test. If not go to/Users/yourname/Library /Contextual Menu Items and move whatever is there to the desktop. Then do the same with /Library/ Contextual Menu Items. Lastly, try moving/Users/yourname/Library/ Fonts to your desktop and restarting.
