iPhone 4 with Toyota Avensis TNS510 and iPod/iPhone USB Connectivity kit

I bought a Toyota Avensis Sedan with navigation TNS510 and an iPod/iPhone USB connector kit (Toyota Original accessory)

Im experiencing problems when i connect my phone to the cable, it says that the accessory is not compatible with the phone and the phone starts to charge and when i go into the iPod Application it says Accessory connected.

There it all stops, the car says please check that your iPod unit is connected.

Any one else experiencing same problem?

The USB connected to the Toyota USB connector will only provide power to the device. If you want to connect the device to hear music then you need to use the mic adapter and plug one end into the mic input slot in the car and the other jack into the headphone jack. Then press AUX on the touchscreen on NAV screen and you should be able to listen to your music thru you car sound system. I use the Monster iCable 800 connector. Other like connectors will work too.
