***Mac Pro, HDMI Monitor, Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro Card***

Hi,

I recently installed the Intensity Pro card into my Mac Pro. Drivers are all installed as well. Card is recognized in System Profiler.

I'm interested in having a bigger display, so I connected a 32" inch monitor that has various inputs...one of them being an HDMI.

I'm running an HDMI cable from the output port of the Intensity card into the HDMI input on the monitor. When I select the HDMI source, I just have a black screen.

Normally if it doesn't recognize a connection, it says "No DVI Signal/Cable", "No VGA Single/Cable", etc.

In this case, there is no message and the computer screen just stays black.

Am I doing this correctly? Any suggestions? Is this even possible?

Thank you.

PowerBook (my first baby!), 17" MacBook Pro 2.6ghz, 4gbRAM, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

The card is for video input and output. It won't work as you main computer display. It can only display output from a video playing or editing application.
